DEEP SEA VOYAGES

The Davidson Seamount is 7,874 feet high and
it's peak is almost 4,100 feet below the surface
of the ocean.  Many fish, sponges, jellyfish and
even some organisms yet to be named
can be seen.

The Montebello was sunk just off our coast
December 23, 1941 by a torpedo from a
Japanese submarine.  It went down with a full
cargo of heavy crude oil.  All crew members
were rescued by the citizens of Cambria.
Small manned submarines and Remotely
Operated Vehicles
(R.O.V.'s) equipped with lights and
cameras allow us to see things never
before seen.
The "Yellow Submarine",
a replica of an actual research sub,
allows you to take a video voyage to an
undersea mountain.  Another video
examines the
wreck of the Montebello.
